Hello, my name is Jeanette. I have worked for over 5 years as a commissioner for learning disability services for east and west Kent PCTs. I work with Kent Social Services. Together we have been working to support 179 people in Kent to move from NHS services to mainly supported living housing and support. I lead on the Performance and Self-Assessment Framework in Kent. We have been doing particular work with acute hospitals and the experiences of people with learning disabilities who use them.
Before working in learning disability services, I worked with mainstream health services, both acute and community. I have commissioned public, private and voluntary services. I worked in the United States of America for 25 years in health care, and have managed research projects including projects about cancer and HIV/AIDS. I have worked in the private and voluntary sector, managing community health services, including services for women’s health and homeless people.
I have two degrees. I live in Kent. I am a local Parish Councillor and a parent of a school age child.
