The PCT covers a wide area in the west of the county, with key towns of Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Dartford. Most of the population is quite well off and healthy, but there are some parts, notably around Gravesend where the population is more deprived and has poorer health.

There are a number of people from black and minority ethnic groups living in the Dartford and Gravesham areas.
We think there are 22,381 people with learning disabilities living in the area.
There are 1397 people with Learning disabilities on GP registers.
There are 1602 people with learning disabilities known to Kent Adult Social Services.
