Sheffield has been doing lots of things to tackle health inequalities. Here are three things they have been doing:
There are 2 research projects about dental and oral health. This means finding out about dentists and how healthy people’s teeth and mouths are. The projects are about children and adults with learning disabilities.
We are spending a lot of money (£754k) on making it easier for people to get the health services they need. This is about the services that everyone uses, as well as specialist services.
This is a project to help people with a learning disability train as ‘Health Champions’ who can help other people to stay healthy.
