Sheffield Partnership Board

Sheffield Partnership Board has a health sub group called The Improving Health Group (IHG). The group has family carer representation and gets feed back from the 'Health Matters Subgroup' of the People's Parliament.

There is a Health Member of the Sheffield Learning Disability People’s Parliament (MPP) who was newly elected in September and who leads the “Health Matters Subgroup”.

Health is talked about at the People’s Parliament at least once a year. Up to 100 people with learning disablities come to the group. They talk about things like the Annual Self Assessment Framework for health.

Health has been talked about at the Partnership Board agenda more than any other topic over the last 2 years.

There are 9 People with learning disabilities and 4 family carer representatives are elected onto the board.

The Complex Needs Group, a subgroup to the LD Partnership Board has family carer membership.

There is a Challenging Behaviour Strategy and an Autism Strategy which has had lots of input from family members.
