How many people get different sorts of community based care?
There are several sorts of community based care. These include:
- Day Centres
- Help from a social worker or similar (professional support)
- Home Care
- Equipment and adaptations (particularly important for people who are physically disabled as well as having a learning disability)
- Short term residential care (not respite care)
- Direct Payments (when the learning disabled person is helped to organise their own care)
