A group of experts have been meeting to look at how the SAF could happen in the future. They looked at different ways of doing the SAF. They said there could be a new approach.

The regional slide packs provided here include all of the number data currently available at a national level to support the 2015-16 Joint Learning Disability SAF process. Guidance for the process was provided in a letter sent to Local Authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups on 22 October 2015 (below).
Public Health England is working with the Health and Social Care Information Centre to develop a complete set of the number data included in recent rounds of the SAF, and additional data will be added to this webpage as it becomes available.
These slide packs should be used to inform the discussions at locality improvement planning meetings, which are due to take place before the end of February 2016.
Each slide pack includes guidance on the numbers included, how they should be interpreted, and the sorts of questions that locality improvement planning meetings should be asking.

On 29 February 2016 a report was published to accompany the Joint Health and Social Care self-assessment framework 2015 publications. This report compares responses given for the self-assessment frameworks completed for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 years. This report can be downloaded here.
